I have a strong therapeutic focus when working with people to meet their recovery goals while considering the person’s physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs, within the context of the individual’s lived experience. I will assess your mental and physical health needs and create an individualised recovery plan that’s right for you. I understand the importance of educating you on the most effective ways to take care of your mind and body. I am passionate about the provision of high quality, person focused health care and building a team of like minded clinicians.

I am an experienced Occupational Therapist who has a strong passion for working alongside people to meet their goals while sharing in their recovery journey. I have a broad range of experience working in the community mental health setting with adults across the life stages for life skill development. I have a particular interest in how cognition and different environments play a role in a person’s function and daily life. My therapeutic focus is on sensory modulation approaches to help prepare, enhance and/or maintain the ability to engage in meaningful life roles and activities. I am passionate about helping others create a safe and functional environment for everyday living which will empower you with the tools and strategies for managing your own spaces. ​

​I am an experienced Credentialed Mental Health Nurse with a speciality in Learning Disability Nursing. Having commenced my nursing career in England, I moved from England to Mackay in 2010 and have had a variety of nursing roles which have allowed me to further develop my nursing care and therapeutic expertise in the speciality area of both mental health and physical wellbeing. I have a strong interest in older person’s mental health, educating and providing psychological therapy to people who have been prescribed Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and rehabilitative nursing care. My care is grounded in advocacy and a strong client centred focus to optimise a person’s quality of life through person centred planning, education and adapted psychological therapies suited to each individual.
